ABOUT ME

Hi I’m Lara

Professionally I have qualifications in International Public Health, Naturopathy, Nutrition, Herbal medicine, homoeopathy, and somatic therapy. I have been active in clinical practice and as a natural health educator in both Australia and abroad for over 25 years.

Like all good practitioners I’ve experienced my own journey of rebuilding my health and I know what it takes to get well.

After a complex dance with Lyme disease, post-viral fatigue, Adrenal exhaustion, Thyroid imbalance, mould exposure (CIRS), and SIBO.

I now have a wealth of experience and expertise in chronic health conditions and assisting patients to regain their health through targeted nutritional therapy based on functional pathology and good detective work.

I love working with people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. In particular, I’m passionate about providing respectful and high-quality primary healthcare to the LGBTQIA+ community supporting their physical well-being.

Within the haven of my care, clients seek refuge, burdened by the weight of depleted energy that has cast a shadow over their cherished connections—time spent with loved ones, the warmth of friendships, and the simple joys that once ignited their hearts.

The rhythm of daily life has grown tangled, with the demands of work feeling like an uphill climb, relationships weathering storms, the sanctuary of home turning into a challenge, and the threads of their social fabric fraying.

Mornings are heavy and each step being an act of courage, while nights offer little reprieve.

It’s in these moments of vulnerability that I find the opportunity to extend a hand of compassion, knowing that I too have been there. My passion and commitment is to now find solutions for my clients to guide them back to where they need to be.

As a human being I have become an accidental activist in my community in the areas of LGBTQI+ rights, organ donation, grief and trauma awareness. I write regularly about widowhood, solo parenting, travelling with kids, rising from the ashes and other matters of the heart that involve building strength, resilience and resolve to find our way back to joy.

I currently live in Sydney with my 2 daughters and my 2 cats, even though I’m really a dog person, and I head to the beach at any available opportunity.
